NEIL MCINTYRE

 

NEIL MCINTYRE is a Canadian soundman and mixer, with extensive experience in radio and film. He studied History and International Development Studies at McGill University (Montreal, Canada), and did an HNC in Audio Engineering at City of Westminster College (London, UK). He has been a prolific sound recordist and engineer on the London film scene since finishing his postgraduate studies, working variously as boom operator, production sound mixer, and sound designer for film and video productions.

His body of work has include: sound mixer on short film "X", directed by Elliot Cowan for Granada Media;  Boom Operator on short film Incorporated, directed by Nick White for Area 17 Productions; Production Sound Mixer/Boom Operator on short film Slumber, directed by Antoinette Fernandez; boom operator on feature Polish, directed by James Rogan for Park Village Productions LTD; Boom Operator on short film Treachery on the Bounty; and sound designer/ recording engineer on radio drama The Monotony Report.

I usually use Logic Studio to mix and edit audio, however I have also had experience using ProTools for both recording and editing.

He is currently planning various productions with Stonedog, including a long travelogue to be shot this summer, Aka’s Solitude (a play), and a unique documentary feature about asylum seekers, directed by Vanessa Annobil. He is very passionate about his Trinidadian roots, and loves traveling and unique music.
